The sites are not accurate, they are estimates and they are not accurate estimates. If my sellers would have believed the value they were told their home was worth on the popular websites, instead of me, they would have lost over 70,000 dollars! So many people believe what the sites say, the believe what they tell them their home is worth, they believe what they say is for sale, they believe it all. One important item they fail to realize is that it is a website and that’s it. They (the website) have no fiduciary duty to you the consumer. They are not required to uphold a code of ethics, they are not licensed and have not attended all the training or have any responsibility for what their site says or doesn’t say in regards to what your estimated home value is worth or what is actually for sale . You should ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS work with a REALTOR. Never say you can’t afford it. If my sellers would have said that they would have lost a lot of money!
